(BC = Brown College)
Okay, so it's my second successful day of college, and after class, I spent over three hours to finish one of my assignments from a class from yesterday. o.O Actually, I'm not 100% done with it. I just need to type it up and it's good to go...
School's cool. Finally I have something to do, although it's a pain in the ass to wake up so early... but then again, I don't stay up late.

Yesterday was my 285th day in Korea, where I took my flight back to the States. It sucked I had to go early... It feels nostalgic to be back, but it's nothing new. It's still Earth.

Going home soon... this sucks.
In other news, more bad omens today. As I waited for the bus at the bus stop, it never came by. In fact, no cars or any other buses came by. This was a busy street so it was weird... I could only think that some car crash is causing the delay... Anyways, after 10 minutes of standing around, I started walking to a different bus stop, on a different but near street. But then guess what? The traffi resumed. Well, only a few vehicles came by at a time, thought, like only one lane from where the crash is open now.
Anyways, I got to the next bus stop and waited for the bus and got on. Then later, as the bus was crowded, this old grandma tred to run out because the crowded people in there was going to make her miss her stop. So as she stepped out, the bus drove forward a little. So I assumed as her feet landed, the bus movement made her lose her balance. Anyways, she fell and hit the ground hard. I don't know if she went under the bus or whatever, but a few seconds later, she gave a loud cry/moan. Then everyone got out of the bus because the driver was out and he wasn't coming back anytime soon. I got out and went to transfer to the next bus that was coming along.
Being surrounded by others' pain and misery like this, I can't help but think my spirit is reflecting the curses that are trying to get to me, coming from a certain someone...

Nothing special has been happening lately. I went to a museum on Tuesday, but just like I thought, it was a waste of time. Same old thing you see in the other museums... I saw something interesting though. There was this attire labeled as a "priest robe/clothes" and it looked like old Hmong clothes. Interesting...
Other than that, I've been seeing a lot of attractive females as of late. As well as males. I've been more sociable with people as well.
I had a few omens lately. Tuesday night, the bus almost hit a car. Wednesday morning, the bus tapped into another bus, an dented it a bit. And also on Wednesday, around noon time, there was a motorcycle crash. I didn't see the crash but I saw the guy sitting on the curb holding his leg while people gathered around him. So yeah, being involved in two events already (I wasn't a part of the motorcycle one), the third one's going to come to me sometime soon.

A lot of interesting things have happened. Met new people, been to new places... Last Thursday was the first time I saw anyone kissing in public as I was exiting the subway car. It was a cute couple. And I saw another one today on the bus.
Anywyas, my stay here is sucking because I have to go home early, most likely. May 20. Why? Because no one will freaking volunteer to host me. It's bullshit. I'm currently asking all my friends to help me out. Mrs. Ho asked a lot of people in the school (sent letters to all students), but had no luck, so I'm looking for people outside of school, like my college friends. Why didn't I think of this sooner..... >_> I also contacted Saint Paul Rotary for some help but they are a bit slow. =/

On Sunday, on my way home from meeting the faimly over at Kapyeon, I saw an interesting scene on the subway. There was this lady who was screaming and stuff over her cell phone to what seemed to be her son/husband or whatever. The guy next to her told her to shut up and stuff. A few minutes later, as she still talked on and on and even yelling sometimes, the guy got fed up with it and grabbed her arm and proceeded to throw her out of the subway cart. The doors closed, though, so he slammed her onto the doors instead and walked away to the next cart. The lady was all cussing him out and shit. Some passegners, mainly the girl college students, gasped and stuff and ran away from the scene to a "safer" area a few meters away. >_>
I met up with Min-Hye's family today. Nice family. We went out to this one place called "Herb Island" or something. It was REALLY interesting. I took lots of pictures, but the vibrant colors of the flowers couldn't be captured with my weak-ass digital camera... >___>
When we met up att he station, she was all quiet and stuff. She had a cute hair style. And her voice is like zOMG super cute. But she has a cold, so maybe that's what made it so cute~ I like when she told her dad to buy her this one cute bakcpack and she was saying "hurry and buy it~~~" in Korean. That was damn cute. -.-
Min-Hye's Japanese name is "Ai," which came from Conan, the detective anime series. When her father said she liked Conan, I was thinking "Conan the Barbarian," and was laughing. haha~ Then I asked, "wait, which Conan?" and they cleared it up for me. Of course, I didn't tell them about the barbaran bit.

Life here has been a lot more fun, surprisingly. I recently move to my newest homestay - my third. I moved last Sunday. I found it interesting how I wasn't nervous or had that "increased body temperature" feeling at all. I made myself at home as soon as I got here.
I also have been more absorbed into my Korean studies as of late.
I finished reading the book "Tragic Mountains." I HIGHLY recommend it to EVERYONE, especialy the Hmong people.
I started chatting with the hmong woman who is in Japan right now. Haven't heard form her in a few months, but after chatting with her, I learned about what she has done so far in her life and where she is at now. Her life is really impressive. She mentioned about researching about politics and looked for countries with Asian political parties. Through hard research, she found out of a small Hmong rural community, of about 112 Hmong (if I remember right), in the rural part of Argentina. o.O We both wondered how they ended up down there... She lived with them for 1 month. She talked Hmong to the parents, but the kids had to be spoken Spanish to (which she also knows o.O). She is currently teaching English in Japan. I should try that out sometime, as a break from college or something. Don't know...
Oh, and mimi left for me what seemed to be a suicide note... It would be such a shame for her to leave so early.....

Dam... haven't been here is so long.
Anyways, not much "special" things have been happening, although I have strengthen some relationships with some people. :D
Last Tuesday was my first "scared" experience. It wasn't one of being lost, like most people are afraid of. It was more of a "omg wtf should I do?" kind of scared.
I've been more talkative with my taekwondo classmates, especially the girls. We have fun chatting, because they don't know English very well. heh... And my TKD teacher always come up to me and say "Excuse me, may I help you?" with his heavy Korean accent and it's damn hilarious. Sometimes when I'm talking to one of my friends, who doesn't know English very well, my teacher would come up to us and see that my friend doesn't understand my English, so he would smack my friend on the head and repeat that line "Excuse me, may I help you?" over and over again while he continously hit them. XD
School has been easy.
I may move to my next homestay within two weeks or so.
I actually have 2 possible volunteer families, BUT their problem with me (both of them) is the same I had with my current homestay family. They only have daughters and are scared I might rape them or soomething. >_> At least Jin-Aeng was cool with having me live with her. Luckily I met her before back in Minnesota so she had an idea of me before inviting me to live with her all-girl family (and father). 8D
March 8th, 2007
I started school for about a week now. It's interesting. I finally started to talk with my new classmates, the boys. The girls still avoid me, which is normal in a Korean school system. At least five of the girls made effots to talk to me. :D There's also a lot of cute girls in my class, and a few pretty ones. There are a lot of attractiv freshmen as well... >_>
WoW rants: I've been pretty pissed of as of late. Not only did priests get nerfed but I can't even stand a chance of mobs anymore because the area that I am in have mobs that are all pretty much anti-priest. I died countless times, like earlier I kept dying in a cave. A CAVE. That's right - a dead end area. It sucked so much.

On a side note, I would like to mentioned that I am very disappointed and pissed that I forgot to bring my camera with me to the "training camp" thing. I charged it up and everything, but I forgot to grab it before I left the house... BS.....
Lately I have been more out of the house, which is good. I want to play WoW, but I always put it aside whenever an opportunity comes up to go out with friends or whatever. I've been playing pool with HeX and SS, but today is the last day to hang out with them (HeX didn't show up today for some reason), since school is starting on Wednesday and that's when they will be busy as hell, because Korean school life is just that way. >_>
February 24th, 2007
I came back from the Rotary training program thing for high schoolers getting advice from college students about college majors and stuff. Anyways, at first it was damn boring as we sat through people talking on the stage for a few hours, but at night we played games and stuff. It was word games and stuff. Us guys were in our rooms then the girls just walked in. o.O It was really fun. I had a great time with my group (of new friends). Good people. Our group "leader" was this girl and she was really pretty.
One of my new friend and his friend kept insulting each other in English and it was hilarious. They were calling each other "Negro" and gay. Then he one was saying the other came from Africa two years ago and he taught the guy Korean customs and everything. Their pronouncition made it funnier. It was freaking hilarious though! It was a two-day thing, where we slept for one night.
I got the contact info of my group members. :D

Happy New Years~!
I got to participate in the yearly greetings to the elders, where you bow and stuf and receive lots of money. I got 93k won, which is like 93$. Yeah, a lot.
Anyways, the coutnryside was interesting. They had a little section where there were shops and stuff, but it was so deserted. I wonder how the shops make money... And there was also a little arcade, but most of the games were off. There was this little karaoke booth and the little kids were in it, and it played some Pikachu song, going "pika-pika-pikachu~" over and over again. It was weird. The kids were also playing Tekken Tag.
I didn't like the food. Like most Korean food, it's too plain and there's not much flavor at all. They were telling me to eat the "mountain vegetable" foods (I don't know the English word for it, but I do know the Hmong word for it) because it's good for me, but it tastes not so good. It's plain and some are even bitter. I like the Hmong mountain vegetables better because they are ACTUALLY delicious! :d Well, most of them... We know how to prepare them good.
And I brought my camera but forgot to take out my memory card out of my laptop and put it back in the camera, so that was really retarded.....
February 17th, 2007
I was told by my homestay siblings that the plan was cancelled today for visiting the "hometowns" because our cousin cancelled it, but it turns out they were wrong. They said it was cancelled so I stayed up until around 5, and now my homestay mother woke me up at 9. This is bullshit but oh well. Sucks.....
February 16th, 2007
I went to the PC room with HeX and SS. We played Starcraft. We were going to play CS, but decided not to. SS and I didn't like it anyway. Anyways, we had fun. I lost in our fight because SS attacked me while I attacked HeX. But I got SS back by nuking his base a few times. They both then attacked me and I lost, then SS lost. heh. Then we played the "Cat vs. Mouse - Crystal Wars," which was damn fun. It was the best game we ever played together. We should've played it before. haha... They sucked at it.
Then I went to hang out with Song Shuang again. :D
Just got home about 40 minutes ago.
February 15th, 2007
I spent the whole day with Song Shuang yesterday. It was fun. We had lunch, then walked to Starbucks. It was my first time there. And the cup of coffee was more expensive than our lunch... >_> Then we just walked back to the International Studies building and watched movies/kdrama/anime. We didn't have much to do. I mean, we are both foreignors in a foreign country..... =/ And at the end I was going to give her some chocolate but it melted in my dam pocket! It wasn't in my "main" side pocket, but my lower-leg-side pockets, so I thought it wouldn't warm up there...
February 14th, 2007
I'm meeting up with Songshuang (sp?) today. She's the Chinese girl that was in my Korean classes a few months back. Haven't met in a while...
And later, I'm meeting up with Ana to go with her family out of the city to her "hometown" or wherever (the countryside, probably).
Today was the first time that I woke up "early" during my vacation. I woke up at 8:50. Usually it's around noon time. >_>
February 8th, 2007
Yesterday, I had my first real TKD sparring match with one of the white-belts (beginners). He had only been learning for one month. Anyways, he sucked ass. I mean, it's not like he stood there like a noob. No, he attacked and stuff. But what he sucked so much was his formation and kicks. He did not know how to kick properly. He was using his toes instead of the sole of his foot or the top of his foot. He used his toes. So guess what? He hit me in my stomach with his toes, digging up under my lower-left rib cage. Yep, it hurted. Damn he sucks... But it's funny to watch him when we are practicing. When we take turns kiking mats, after he kicks, he will run to the back of the line doing these side-steps and ducking down like he's embarrassed. It's hilarious. Even the instructor notes it. He goes "whoaaaa" like he's surprised, and then he laughs a bit. Everytime. Dam I wish I can record it...
Today, that same guy was kicking mats and used his toes again. And guess what? After doing 2/3 of the kicks, he rolled to the ground holding his toes because he kicked with his toes too hard. THAT was funny! The teacher gave him the usual lecture.
Some people just don't get it...
As for me, I'm getting better and faster. I learn things at a very fast pace, like seeing something done once, and I can replicate it, but with a lower quality version, but not that low. =/ I wish the instructor would teach me more advanced stuff...
February 5th, 2007
Yesterday was one of my most fun days here. I went out with HeX and Justin. Justin didn't sleep cuz he had to memorize all this SAT vocab, so during the whole day, HeX and Justin kept insulting each other using those "advanced" vocabulary. It was funny as hell. We were going to go to Hooters but HeX wussed out and then when we all finally convinced him, we didn't know where it was. HeX had a number but there was no answer, so we didn't go. That was also quite funny. We went to the karaoke place, which was kind of lame. Justin is a funny singer. He can go quie high with his voice and he's pretty good in my opinion. It was funny watching him rap and making up his own lyrics.
Nothing special today.
February 2nd, 2007
During TKD, Ki-Taek didn't show up, which was weird. He's a good guy. Very responsible and kind. Anyways, he showed up at the end of class, and a few sentences were exchanged with the instructor and he was sent out. He then sat at the stairs outside of the classroom. When he showed up, he was freaking exhausted, his hair was messed up, and he was breathing all hard. At first, I thought it was as if he just woke up, and thought it was a bit funny, but at the end of class, when I asked Ji-Soo to translate it, he said that Ki-Taek said he ran into some gangster-wannabe people, who hassles you for money, and he was "bummed" out that the teacher didn't believe him. When Ji-Soo told me this, I just felt damn sorry for Ki-Taek. Really. He went through shit. As a fellow human being, I would like to join up with him to seek vengeance. Seriously. Yeah, I'm pissed at this situation he ended up in. This is why I want to carry weapons with me at all times again, like I used to.
